10/30/2022 0 Comments Passat cnl button![]() keeps going on and on, I for one don't like the impact on the cars behind. ![]() Rush hour, or to be honest any time of day now, they are pretty jammed (I live in Hampshire between Portsmouth and Southampton and the M27 is v.bussy nowadays) and if you leave a gap as big as the ACC does. #Passat cnl button drivers#Its the motorways or dual carriageways, and sadly other drivers cutting in. If you think the gap at minimum is too large then please never, ever drive behind me. However, I fully accept that if you're in a big city (London as a prime example), you'd end up standing still as people wedge themselves into the gaps over and over. In rural Oxfordshire here, you'll never have people pulling into the gaps, as it's single lane each way and everyone just waits and shuffles along. I think it depends where you're driving a fair amount. personally I wish all cars had ACC, overall I can live with its foibles. Personally I think the ACC is excellent when the traffic is not too busy, but not very good in heavy traffic, the gap at minimum is too large (cars keep pulling into it and forces the brakes back on) and the reaction when accelerating is too slow (even in its most aggressive mode) I tend to 'assist' it by accelerating as they pull away ahead and cancel/resume to allow it to coast. ![]() ![]() I do understand the fact it brakes too much in ACC mode (not he cost or need to replace brakes though), I get frustrated by its brake/accelerate cycle, obviously its not human so it can only react to the car in front where I like to predict ahead by looking two or more cars ahead and smooth the drive out. ![]()
